Undetectable AI is an online tool that checks if your writing was written by AI and also offers a tool to “humanize” AI writing so your writing can bypass AI content detectors.

This tool is called Undetectable AI because the aim of the tool is to modify AI-written content so that it does not get detected in AI-detecting tools.

Ok, Let’s back up a little.    

Many students and writers are using tools like ChatGPT to do their writing for them and pass it off as their own work.

Undetectable correctly identifies the work as written by AI and gives an AI Detection likelihood by several tools(Winston is not there but we will get back to that).

Let’s try and “Humanize” the content

To do this you must promise to agree to “no academic misconduct”.

This time Winston predicted the text as 28% human.

It is also important to look at the quality of the text that Undectable AI has rewritten.

As you can see, the tool has resulted in some very poorly written English.

Not likely to win a Nobel Prize for Literature, I’ll say that much.

I am not sure where they are getting their information about these other tools but they tend to agree with their analysis. 

I was curious so I also tested this article with GPTZero and they also concluded that the text was written by AI  which is not what the AI Detection Likelihood says. 

Humanizer Tool

A humanizer tool claims to make AI text sound more human but in reality, it just uses an algorithm to change the text similar to a paraphrasing tool like Quillbot. 

The text doesn’t sound more human but rather it is an attempt to bypass AI detectors. As you saw from the example above, the grammar doesn’t sound natural and the syntax is unnatural. 

To be honest, ChatGPT can already write text that can be difficult for most people to tell whether it was written by a human or AI so the need for a “humanizer” tool seems to be more of a marketing term. 

Human Typer Tool

The Human Type tool is designed to mimic each word being typed like a human would. Most people when they use an AI tool copy and paste the text into a document. 

One way of checking if the person wrote the article is to check the history of the document and see if it was pasted in or written section by section.
