What does StealthGPT AI do?

StealthGPT is a tool that attempts to “humanize” text to try and bypass AI detectors. 

Humanizing text with an AI tool like StealthGPT changes the grammar and the syntax (the order of the words in a sentence). 

In my opinion, the only real way to humanize a text is if a person edits a text themselves to add personal experience. 

Wait, But Why Do People want to Humanize Text? 

Let’s go back to the start, shall we?

The release of ChatGPT launched a mass adoption of AI tools (everyone started using them).

Students started using AI to write their essays.

Writers started using AI to do their work.

So, that prompted the need for AI detection tools that check whether a piece of text is written by AI or by a person.

But do they work?

Testing StealthGPT AI to see if it Works

First, let’s get ChatGPT to write a text for us

I will put this text in Winston AI to show you that it detects it accurately as AI text. 

Now let’s get StealthGPT to “humanize” the text.

To use StealthGPT, you need to pay, I upgraded to the “Samurai” as it claims that it can bypass Winston AI and Turnitin.

To use StealthGPT is very easy. Put the text in the left-hand column and you get their output on the right. 

So now we have the text from StealthGPT, let’s test it again with Winston AI.

As you see the text was correctly identified as AI written content.

You can also upgrade to a model called “Samurai” and that bypassed AI detection better.

The result by Winston AI was that the content was human-written.

So it worked, but at what cost?

Let’s dive into the text “humanized” by StealthGPT.

As you can see, the text has been manipulated in a way to evade AI detection but it also makes the writing terrible. 

The structure of some of the sentences is bizarre. “Watered by the Irrawaddy” makes no sense.

StealthGPT has one main goal and that is to bypass AI detectors. It does also have a “generate” tab that allows you to generate AI text inside the tool so you don’t have to go to ChatGPT like other tools.

Unfortunately, there is no way of going back to see the previous documents which you have edited.

You can also upgrade to the Samurai engine which costs an extra $4.99 per month.

StealthGPT Cancellation Policy

Not only does StealthGPT not have a free trial to test out their tool, but they also punish you for cancelling.

If you try to cancel your monthly plan, you can either pause your subscription (and then get charged at a later date when you inevitably forget about it) or when you try to cancel, you have to delete your account so you don’t have the rest of your credits that you paid for available to you.

StealthGPT AI Alternatives

Undetectable AI

Undetectable AI is another AI tool that attempts to bypass AI detection. In our testing , it didn’t work very well and our AI detector could easily detect the rewritten text as AI content.

StealthWriter is a similar tool to Undetectable as its main feature is a rewording tool that modifies text so that it can bypass AI detection. 

StealthWriter is also more expensive than Undetectable AI but that doesn’t mean that it works any better.

Final Thoughts

While StealthWriter promises much and has a nice design, you really should think twice before using a tool like this. The only way to make a text more humanlike is to edit it yourself(It really doesn’t take that long).
